書（Sho）or 書道（Shodo）
is a form of oriental calligraphy that expresses the beauty of the written word through art.

Sho is of Chinese origin, where 漢字（kanji） or Chinese characters were invented while in Japan,
Sho is written in both kanji and kana, which is derived from kanji during the ancient Japanese Heian period.

Unlike Western paintings, Sho is an art that is expressed using only two colors: the black of the ink and the white of the paper.
It is an art form that creates a rhythm on a sheet of paper, not only in terms of beauty of form, but also in terms of spatial beauty and contrast between the two colors.

Who we are

Rubbing the ink calms the mind. Holding the writing brush makes me braced. When the brush and paper come into contact, a cosmic space expressed only in black and white is born. Having picked up a brush since I was in kindergarten, I have trained in Japanese calligraphy in Kyoto, the city of tradition and art, and am active as one of the up-and-coming young calligraphers. Based on the classics, I specialize in Chinese originated letters (kanji) works, and am active not only in Japan but also in Europe and Southeast Asia.
